🌿 Watering
Water moderately, keeping the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Let the top inch of soil dry out between waterings, and reduce watering slightly in winter. Both over- and under-watering can cause leaf drop.
☀️ Light
Prefers bright light — the colorful curly leaves need plenty of sun to keep their vibrant red, orange, and yellow hues. A few hours of direct morning sun is fine, but protect from harsh afternoon rays. Too little light causes the foliage to fade to green.
🌡️ Temperature
Prefers temperatures between 65-85°F. Sensitive to cold — keep away from drafts, air conditioning vents, and windows below 60°F, as it can cause leaf drop.
💧 Humidity
Enjoys high humidity. Dry indoor air can lead to leaf tip browning, so mist regularly or use a humidifier/pebble tray to keep it happy.
🪴 Soil
A rich, well-draining potting mix works best. Keep it consistently moist without letting it become waterlogged.
⚠️ Toxicity
Toxic to pets and humans if ingested, and sap may irritate skin — keep away from children and animals.
